EARLY INTERVENTIONIST

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Provides evaluative treatment planning and diagnostic services to consumers. Implements specific programs designed to improve the functioning of consumers, and/or to coordinate specific treatment plans with the family.

 

​EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination, equivalent to undergraduate a baccalaureate degree in education or child development, and one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled and/or infants.

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Provide speech and language evaluation and therapy strategies for infant population; works cooperatively with Early Interventionists, parents, staff, and allied agencies for the continuing progress of each consumer for their total growth and development. Under the direction of the Program Director.

 

​EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

B.A. degree in Speech Pathology with one or more years of direct experience with developmentally delayed consumers.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

To provide occupational therapy, evaluative treatment planning, and diagnostic services to consumers. To develop and implement specific programs designed to improve the functioning of consumers; to coordinate specific treatment plans with the family, and Regional Center staff.

 

​EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination, equivalent to graduation from college in occupational therapy and one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled and/or delayed infant. Must be registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

To provide physical therapy, evaluative and consultative services to consumers; to participate in the planning and diagnostic process; and to do related work as required.

 

​EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination, equivalent to graduation from college with a degree in physical therapy and two years of increasingly progressively responsible physical therapy experience. Must be validly licensed by the Physical Therapy Examination Committee of the Medical Board of California
